Terms and Conditions

To use the Services, you must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

(Note: BrewChat is currently available only for college-level students, professionals, and companies. Usage by minors is strictly prohibited.)

• Registration: You may register using your email or a third-party account (e.g., Google, LinkedIn). You must provide a valid US or Canada mobile number and accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated. Providing a number does not by itself enroll you in text messages.
• Roles: Our platform supports various user roles, including Students, Professionals, and Companies. You agree to select the role that accurately reflects your current status.
• Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@brewchat.co.

BrewChat is a networking platform designed to connect people for professional and educational conversations.

• Acceptable Use: You agree to use the platform professionally and respectfully.
• Prohibited Conduct: You agree NOT to:
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against any other user.
  • Create fake profiles, impersonate others, or misrepresent your experience, education, or employment.
  • Use the Services to send spam, unsolicited promotions, or unauthorized advertisements.
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the security of the Services.
  • Scrape or harvest data from the Services without our express written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you violate these rules.

• Meeting Formats: BrewChat facilitates scheduling for video calls (via integrations like Zoom or Google Meet), phone calls, or in-person meetings.
• User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We do not conduct background checks or independently verify the credentials of our users.
• Recordings: By default, meetings are not recorded by BrewChat. You may not record, transcribe, or capture meetings without the explicit consent of all participants in accordance with applicable laws.
• Optional text notifications: If you separately opt in, BrewChat may text you when you receive a booking request; message frequency varies. You may also separately opt into two attendee reminders per booking, sent about 24 hours and 1 hour before the meeting. Consent is not required to create an account, use BrewChat, or book a meeting. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Delivery timing is not guaranteed.
• No Liability: BrewChat is not a party to the meetings and is not liable for the conduct, advice, or statements of any user during a meeting.

• Paid Plans: BrewChat offers various subscription tiers (e.g., Starter, Plus, Premium). Features and limits (such as monthly chat limits) vary by tier.
• Billing: If you purchase a paid subscription, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Payments are securely processed by our third-party processor, Stripe.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

• Your Content: You retain ownership of the information, text, photos, and resumes you upload to your profile (“User Content”).
• License to BrewChat: By uploading User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Services.
• Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the legality and accuracy of your User Content.

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Services (excluding User Content), including the software, design, branding, and text, are the exclusive property of BrewChat and its licensors. You may not use our intellectual property without our written consent.

The Services integrate with third-party tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, LinkedIn). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third parties’ terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the performance, reliability, or security of any third-party services.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONNECTIONS MADE THROUGH THE PLATFORM WILL RESULT IN SPECIFIC OPPORTUNITIES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BREWCHAT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

• Services: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.
• Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date or via email. Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Michigan, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
